Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Ghana’s climate is tropical and relatively stable through the year. Generally, the country experiences two main seasons:
The Wet Season
The south (including Accra) experiences two rainy seasons: from November to March and from April to June. The northern part of the country has a single rainy season, from April to September. Rainfall amounts vary by region, with some coastal and western areas receiving up to 2,000 mm per year, while the north may receive around 800 to 1,000 mm annually.
Dry Season
The dry period runs from November to March. Daytime temperatures usually hover around 30°C (86°F) and can rise higher in some regions, while nighttime lows generally settle around 24°C (75°F).
This climate pattern makes Ghana A YEAR-ROUND DESTINATION FOR TRAVELERS, WHERE EVERY DAY CAN BE CONSIDERED “SUMMER.”
Ghana’s cultural heritage is rich and diverse, shaped by numerous ethnic groups, including the Akan, Ga-Adangbe, Dagomba, and Ewe, each contributing unique traditions. Common values among these groups include hospitality, friendliness, honesty, respect, and dignity for one another. Together, these values create an environment of warmth and peaceful coexistence.
